Its primary focus is on case reports that enhance the clinical and medical knowledge of researchers and authors. The journal's main objective is to spotlight common and uncommon clinical situations, and it encourages critical reflection.

The case study or report approach lies between concrete information gathering techniques and methodological paradigms. When making decisions about case selection, the subject and object of the study, and the purpose, approach, and methods of the case study or report must be taken into account.
